Are summer and fall picnics the same?

They are in fact very different. June, July and August events are considered Summer Events. September and October events are considered Fall Events. Wiard’s property is closed November through May.

Can we bring alcohol

All alcohol must be served and monitored by you, someone you hire or your employees. Wiard’s Orchards staff is not allowed to serve or monitor alcohol.

Can we bring our own food?

No, Wiard’s is not a public park, we are a full service picnic venue, including food service for our picnic groups.

How many people can the venue accommodate?

We can accommodate up to 5000 people for an event.

Do you have enough restrooms for our group?

Yes, we have a nice restroom building that handles crowds efficiently.

Can we add cider and donuts or other farm goodies to our picnic contract?

Yes, in the FALL. Cider and donuts are not available for summer events.

Will the Country Store be open on the day of our event?

Yes, during September and October. No, during the summer months, June, July, and August.

Can we bring our pets?

Sorry, we do not allow pets on Wiard’s property, whether on a leash or in your arms. Exceptions will only be made for registered service animals, which must be properly identified as such.

Can we bring games? Crafts?

Yes, you must coordinate this with the Wiard’s picnic coordinator, before the day of the event. If you are going to need tables for this the tables must be arranged for before the day of the event.

Can I smoke on the property?

We are a non-smoking property. If you would like to smoke, we ask that you do so in a designated area away from our guests or in the parking lot.

Is there a rain plan?

Our events go on rain or shine. We may need to close a few things for safety when it rains, but when the rain passes, we will reopen them. We would only close if it is a safety issue for customers and staff. Always dress for the weather!

Do you offer pre-set packages?

Wiard’s staff will custom design a package for your group. We want the event to be perfect for YOU and we will build it with your thoughts in mind. 35 years of hosting picnics has taught us that each company has its own definition of what a picnic event should be. Our goal is to create the perfect day for you.

Do you have indoor space for rent?

We do not have indoor space; all our space is outdoors.

Does Wiard’s host weddings or wedding receptions?

No, we do not host weddings or receptions.

Does Wiard’s have a space for a baby shower or a wedding shower?

Since we do not have indoor space, our events are rain or shine, baby or wedding showers are not a good fit for us.

For a fall picnic are all the activities at the Country Fair included?

Most but not all, the attractions that are included with a Country Fair admission ticket are included for the fall picnic guests. We do have 3 attractions that are not included.

Are apples and pumpkins included in the fall picnic package?

No, they are not included, they can usually be added; ask about pricing when you call.

Is there ice available?

Yes, Wiard’s can provide ice for the day for bottled water, adult beverages, or other items that you choose to bring on. There is an additional charge for this service.
